Job Description
This role focuses on building high-quality, scalable, and reusable software by adhering to best practices in software engineering architecture and processes, including code reviews and unit testing. The Software Engineer will collaborate with product owners to understand detailed requirements, taking ownership of the entire code lifecycle from design and implementation to test automation and final delivery. A key aspect of the role involves designing user-friendly software that allows customers to customize and extend its functionality to meet their unique needs. The engineer will also contribute to the design and implementation of new products and features, as well as the enhancement of the existing product suite.

Responsibilities
- Build high-quality, clean, scalable, and reusable code by enforcing best practices around software engineering architecture and processes (Code Reviews, Unit testing, etc.)
- Collaborate with product owners to understand detailed requirements and own code from design, implementation, and test automation to delivery of a high-quality product to users.
- Design software that is simple to use, enabling customers to extend and customize functionality to meet their specific needs.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of new products and features, and enhance the existing product suite.
Qualifications
- Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving, which may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI’s potential impact on the function or industry.
- 0-2+ years of experience with Java or a similar object-oriented (OO) language.
- Passion for JavaScript and the Web as a platform, emphasizing reusability and componentization.
- Experience with data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, design patterns, and performance/scale considerations.
- Experience with modern UI frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.
- Possess strong analytical and design skills.
- Working knowledge and ability to utilize tools for daily tasks, including IDEs, debuggers, build tools, source control, ServiceNow instances, profilers, and system administration/Unix tools.
