Starbucks India operates as a 50:50 joint venture between Tata Global Beverages and Starbucks Coffee Company. Job Description

This position is crucial to our overall success by:
Delivering exceptional customer service that exceeds expectations.
This role contributes significantly to the Starbucks Experience by ensuring customers receive prompt service, high-quality beverages and products, and enjoy a consistently clean and welcoming store environment.
The Barista is responsible for embodying and demonstrating TATA Starbucks’ guiding principles in all aspects of their work.

Responsibilities

• Acting with integrity, honesty, and a thorough understanding of TATA Starbucks’ culture and values, thereby reinforcing them in every action.
• Proactively anticipating customer and store needs by diligently monitoring the environment and observing customer cues.
• Maintaining composure during periods of high customer traffic or unusual circumstances to ensure consistent store operations and to serve as a positive role model for the entire shift team.
• Consistently creating enthusiastic and satisfied customers through exceptional service.
• Warmly greeting and connecting with each customer to establish rapport.
• Effectively identifying customer needs and suggesting appropriate products to enhance their experience and contribute to achieving sales objectives.
• Addressing customer needs promptly and expressing gratitude to every customer.
• Demonstrating a “Just Say Yes” attitude by actively addressing and resolving customer concerns.
• Providing legendary customer service by consistently prioritizing the customer’s needs and perspective.
• Supporting the training of new partners by positively reinforcing successful performance and providing respectful and encouraging coaching as necessary.
• Fostering a positive team environment by recognizing changes in partner behaviors that could indicate potential issues with morale or performance, and promptly communicating these observations to the immediate supervisor or store manager.
• Adhering to all TATA Starbucks operational policies and procedures, including those related to cash handling, safety, and security, to safeguard all partners during each shift.
• Maintaining a clean, organized workspace to ensure easy access to resources and products for all partners.
• Maintaining regular and consistent attendance and punctuality to ensure adequate staffing levels.
• Consistently preparing high-quality beverages, whole bean coffee, and food products according to established recipes and presentation standards.
• Adhering to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products.
• Recognizing and reinforcing individual and team accomplishments through established organizational methods.
• Protecting employees and customers by ensuring a safe and clean store environment.
• Following store policies and procedures to maintain efficient operational flow at each station.

Qualifications

• No prior experience is required for this role.
• Minimum education requirement: Successful completion of 12th grade or a Diploma.
