Job Description

The Content Specialist II role is focused on end-to-end management and delivery of high-quality content products. This position requires specialized knowledge in Public Records and/or Dockets, coupled with strong technical skills in areas such as XML, UNIX, scripting, and Python. The role is integral to a 24/7 operational model, necessitating participation in rotational shifts and work weeks. Key responsibilities include ensuring the accuracy and completeness of work products and databases, developing expertise in various workflows, and contributing to both tactical and strategic projects. The specialist will actively engage in process improvement initiatives, potentially utilizing Lean Six Sigma methodologies, and will be responsible for troubleshooting complex issues related to content conversion, workflows, and system/data integrity with a high degree of autonomy. Participation in enhancement projects, system testing, and implementation of new processes are also core functions. The role demands proficiency in navigating and operating various content management and publishing applications specific to Thomson Reuters’ ecosystem.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and deliver high-quality content products end-to-end.
  • Ensure the integrity and completeness of work products and product databases across assigned workflows/tasks.
  • Build and demonstrate expertise in team and adjacent workflows.
  • Contribute towards tactical and strategic initiatives.
  • Participate in standardization, cost savings, and process efficiencies through Lean Six Sigma or similar methodologies.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues related to content conversion, workflows, and system/data integrity with minimal or no support.
  • Participate in enhancement projects, testing, and implementation of new systems or processes.
  • Utilize technical expertise to navigate, troubleshoot, and operate various applications such as GCS, Alloy, LTC, Unix/Linux Novus, People Warehouse, Company Warehouse, etc.

Qualifications

  • Domain expertise in Public Records and/or Dockets.
  • Strong technical proficiency in XML, UNIX, and Python scripting.
  • Ability to support a 24/7 coverage model with rotational shifts and work weeks.
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of diverse Content Operations publishing systems/applications.
  • Strong customer-focused mindset with excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Strong technical proficiency in scripting.
  • Familiarity with tools such as SharePoint, JIRA, and content publishing platforms.
  • Strong understanding of global workflows and process improvement methodologies (Lean Six Sigma certified preferred).
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for complex data and system issues.
  • Must be open to rotational shifts (including nights) and rotational work weeks to support 24/7 coverage.
