Responsibilities
- Contribute to Codebase: Develop clean, efficient, and thoroughly documented code for both front-end and back-end components. This includes utilizing Angular and JavaScript/TypeScript for the front-end, and Node.js and Python for back-end development tasks.
- Full-Stack Development Participation: Assist in the design and implementation of innovative features for our web applications, encompassing the Angular-based user interface, the Node.js/Python API layer, and the MongoDB database infrastructure.
- Collaborative Teamwork: Actively engage in team meetings, collaborative brainstorming sessions, and agile development ceremonies, such as daily stand-up meetings and sprint planning sessions.
- Database Management: Support the design and execution of database schemas within MongoDB to effectively support the functionalities of our applications.
- Testing and Debugging Procedures: Participate in the identification, troubleshooting, and resolution of software defects across the entire application stack.
- Deployment and Maintenance Support: Learn and contribute to the deployment and ongoing maintenance of applications and services, gaining introductory exposure to Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Technical Documentation: Contribute to the creation and maintenance of comprehensive technical documentation for the features and functionalities you contribute to.
- Shift Flexibility: Candidates should be willing to accommodate European shift times as needed, potentially extending to 10:30 PM IST during summer months and 11:30 PM IST during winter months.
Qualifications
- Academic Standing: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.
- Foundational Knowledge: Possess a solid understanding of fundamental computer science principles, with a particular emphasis on data structures and algorithms.
- Programming Proficiency: Demonstrate strong proficiency in JavaScript, including familiarity with modern ES6+ features, and a good working knowledge of Python.
- Web Development Fundamentals: Exhibit a basic understanding of web development concepts, including HTML, CSS, HTTP, and REST APIs.
- Version Control Expertise: Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
- Problem-Solving Acumen: Possess strong problem-solving skills and a demonstrated passion for learning and adopting new technologies.
- Front-End Experience: Hands-on experience with Angular or a comparable front-end framework such as React or Vue.
- Back-End Experience: Experience in building back-end APIs utilizing Node.js, preferably with frameworks such as Express.js.
- Database Familiarity: Familiarity with MongoDB or other NoSQL database solutions.
- Cloud Computing Basics: Basic knowledge of AWS services, including but not limited to EC2, S3, and Lambda.
- TypeScript Knowledge: Knowledge of TypeScript programming language.
