Consultant – Entest – Job Description
SAMEER is seeking a highly experienced Consultant – Entest for its Kolkata facility on a contract basis. This role is crucial for establishing and overseeing environmental testing operations. The Consultant – Entest will be instrumental in ensuring the successful operation of the environmental test facility. This is a unique opportunity for retired senior scientific professionals to contribute their expertise. The contract is initially for 1 year and extendable.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the establishment and operationalization of a state-of-the-art environmental test facility.
- Develop and implement protocols for evaluating key environmental test parameters.
- Provide expert guidance on testing methodologies for environmental stress screening (ESS), thermal shock, vibration, and linear acceleration.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices in all environmental testing procedures.
- Collaborate with internal teams to integrate testing capabilities with broader R&D projects.
- Mentor and guide technical staff involved in the operation of the test facility.
- Contribute to the development of advanced testing techniques and equipment requirements.
- Manage and maintain environmental testing equipment to ensure optimal performance and calibration.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Electronics & Communication, Computer Science, or Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering.
- Minimum of 55% aggregate marks from a recognized university or institution.
- A minimum of 15 years of comprehensive experience in environmental testing, including ESS, Thermal Shock, Vibration, and Linear Acceleration.
- Must be a retired Scientific Officer, Technical Officer, Senior Engineer (SE), or Executive Engineer (EE) from a Government or Autonomous Body.
- Retired from a position at Pay Level 10 or higher at the time of retirement.
- Extensive knowledge of testing for conditions like CATH is desirable.
