Job Description
PhonePe is seeking a P2M Offline Merchant Onboarding Specialist to manage the complete offline merchant onboarding lifecycle. This role requires a strong focus on merchant Know Your Customer (KYC) procedures and ensuring adherence to all compliance requirements. The specialist will be responsible for a seamless onboarding experience for merchants and will collaborate with various internal teams to resolve issues and improve processes. Prior experience with merchant KYC is essential for this position.

Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end offline onboarding process for merchants, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
- Conduct thorough verification of merchant KYC documents to ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
- Guarantee that all onboarding activities align with company policies, regulatory guidelines, and established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Coordinate effectively with sales, business development, and compliance teams to resolve onboarding issues and accelerate the process.
- Identify opportunities for improving the onboarding process, reducing turnaround time (TAT), and enhancing merchant satisfaction.
- Generate and submit regular reports on onboarding status, KYC compliance, and key performance metrics to relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications
- 0-3 years of experience in merchant onboarding, KYC verification, or a similar role.
- Solid understanding of domestic merchant KYC norms and regulatory mandates.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with merchants and internal teams.
- Proficiency in CRM platforms such as Salesforce.
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure and meet stringent deadlines.
- Strong analytical capabilities and meticulous attention to detail.
