Job Description
The Financial Analyst I is responsible for executing various finance functions, including the processing of financial entries related to project and contract establishment and validation within the Workday ERP system. This role also involves the execution of contract and project modifications through Workday requests. A key aspect of the position is understanding client agreements, interpreting supporting documentation, and fulfilling requests from business partners to ensure accurate and timely setups. The Financial Analyst I will contribute to revenue recognition processes by investigating discrepancies, analyzing client financial data, and configuring billing codes and financial contracts in Workday. Interaction with Client Team Project Managers and SFAs will be necessary to resolve pending setup cases requiring business input.
This role is expected to manage requests of varying complexity, adhering to agreed-upon turnaround times (TAT). The Financial Analyst I will coordinate and execute contract, project, and revenue setup or modification requests within Workday, provide support for system implementations, and participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Furthermore, the role includes providing support for technical issues, managing instances of unsuccessful processes, and enforcing revenue validation and control measures.

Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional client service, ensuring both internal and external deadlines are met to maximize client satisfaction within Fin Ops – Order to Cash – CA Operations.
- Establish projects and contracts in Workday Financials, utilizing supporting documentation provided by requestors.
- Modify projects within Workday based on requestor input received through Workday requests.
- Complete requests within Workday following project and contract setup.
- Implement contract amendments in Workday, adhering to SOX guidelines and reporting requirements based on client evidence.
- Demonstrate proficiency in managing internal and external client and stakeholder relationships.
- Adhere to established controls to guarantee the integrity of all client financial data processed.
- Assist in fulfilling ad hoc reporting requests from clients.
- Communicate and collaborate with internal and external clients to address finance-related inquiries and issues, providing high-quality service and support.
- Maintain comprehensive records to support the audit trail for all assigned finance activities.
- Provide necessary information to facilitate both internal and external audits.
- Champion process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications
- Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree preferred; CMA Inter/Qualified / MBA Finance (excluding top-tier business schools)/ CA/CS/ICWA.
