Job Description
CGI is seeking highly motivated and passionate Bachelor of Engineering (BE) graduates with a specialization in Cybersecurity to join our team as Associate Software Engineers. This is a full-time, entry-level position based in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. The successful candidate will be integral to our security team, contributing to real-world projects encompassing vulnerability assessments, security testing, and risk analysis. Responsibilities
- Assist in the execution of vulnerability assessments and penetration testing for web and mobile applications.
- Provide support for security monitoring activities, including log analysis and incident handling procedures.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of security policies, procedures, and comprehensive documentation.
- Collaborate closely with development and operations teams to identify, assess, and mitigate potential security risks.
- Maintain awareness of emerging cybersecurity threats and proactively adopt industry best practices.
Qualifications
- Fundamental understanding of networking principles, firewalls, encryption techniques, and authentication protocols.
- Familiarity with the OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities, vulnerability assessment and penetration testing (VAPT) tools such as Burp Suite and Nmap, and command-line proficiency in Linux environments.
- Knowledge of basic scripting languages, including Python, Bash, or PowerShell, is considered advantageous.
- Demonstrated proficiency in communication and technical documentation.
- A strong passion for security, ethical hacking methodologies, and complex problem-solving.
- Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree, graduating in 2024/2025 (or the most recent graduating batch).
- Specialization in Cybersecurity, Information Security, or a closely related discipline.
- Solid academic record with a focus on security-related coursework or projects.
- Consistent academic performance with a minimum of 60% throughout academic career.
