Responsibilities
- Develop high-fidelity websites and web applications leveraging the latest versions of HTML, CSS (SCSS), and JavaScript (React and TypeScript).
- Maintain existing projects, including updating content and adding new features.
- Manage incoming update requests and coordinate with or delegate tasks to other team members as needed.
- Ensure consistent high standards across Canonical’s entire product portfolio.
- Ensure new pages are published according to established specifications and in adherence to the company’s web style guide.
- Actively participate in and contribute to the Vanilla Framework, Canonical’s living style guide.
- Collaborate closely with UX and visual designers to deliver exceptional user experiences.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in developing contemporary web applications.
- Comprehensive understanding of HTML, CSS (with SCSS), and JavaScript.
- Proficiency with JavaScript component libraries.
- Experience utilizing TypeScript.
- Experience designing and implementing responsive user interfaces optimized for a diverse range of devices and browsers.
- Familiarity with Git or comparable version control systems.
- Understanding of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) principles and best practices.
