Job Description

As a cybersecurity analyst intern, you will be an integral part of the Airbus Corporate Cybersecurity team. Your responsibilities will focus on safeguarding the organization's critical infrastructure, networks, and data from a wide range of cyber threats. This involves contributing to various cybersecurity functions, including vulnerability management, vulnerability intelligence gathering and analysis, risk management, security scanning, and the meticulous management of cybersecurity-related data. This internship provides invaluable hands-on experience in the dynamic cybersecurity field, offering the opportunity to learn from and collaborate with seasoned cybersecurity professionals. You will gain practical experience in real-world cybersecurity challenges and contribute directly to the company's overall security posture.

Responsibilities

• **Vulnerability Management Support:** Actively participate in identifying, assessing, and prioritizing security vulnerabilities across Airbus's diverse systems, networks, and assets. This involves conducting routine security scans utilizing various tools, meticulously analyzing the resulting data, thoroughly documenting findings, and diligently tracking remediation efforts to ensure vulnerabilities are addressed promptly and effectively.
• **Vulnerability Intelligence:** Gather, analyze, and interpret vulnerability data from diverse sources, including but not limited to CVE databases and threat intelligence feeds. Support the creation of comprehensive intelligence reports, effectively communicating emerging threats and vulnerabilities to relevant stakeholders, enabling proactive risk mitigation.
• **Risk Management:** Contribute to comprehensive risk assessments by analyzing vulnerabilities and security threats. Track key risk metrics, actively participate in the development and updating of strategies designed to mitigate and manage cybersecurity risks across the entire organization, ensuring a robust security framework.
• **Data Management & Reporting:** Support the collection and analysis of cybersecurity data to proactively identify potential risks. Develop insightful reporting dashboards and maintain detailed documentation of security incidents and vulnerabilities, ensuring the accuracy of records for both internal and external reporting compliance and auditing purposes.
• **General Cybersecurity Support:** Assist with a variety of ad-hoc cybersecurity tasks as needed. Actively participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing. Collaborate effectively with other departments to ensure that cybersecurity initiatives are implemented and executed effectively across the organization.

Education Qualification

• This internship is ideally suited for recent graduates or postgraduate students holding a degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field. A strong academic background demonstrating a solid foundation in cybersecurity principles is essential.

Skills

• A solid foundational understanding of core cybersecurity concepts is crucial, including but not limited to the CIA triad (confidentiality, integrity, availability), common threat actors and attack vectors, widely used security protocols (e.g., encryption, firewalls), various security tools and frameworks, relevant regulatory standards, and best practices in security.
• Possession of strong analytical and problem-solving skills is essential, with a proven ability to analyze complex data sets, identify potential risks, and develop effective solutions with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are vital, with the ability to clearly and concisely communicate findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences. The ideal candidate will be a highly collaborative team player, able to work effectively within a team environment and proactively seek opportunities to learn from experienced professionals.
