Responsibilities
- Designing, developing, and maintaining the essential components of the IDP, with a focus on ensuring its stability, optimal performance, and scalability to meet evolving needs.
- Collaborating effectively with diverse cross-functional teams to seamlessly integrate the IDP with existing organizational systems and tools, promoting interoperability and efficiency.
- Implementing enhancements to the user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) of the platform, with the objective of creating a more intuitive and satisfying user experience for developers.
- Actively championing the adoption of the IDP among internal development teams across the bank by delivering comprehensive training, creating detailed documentation, and providing ongoing support.
- Contributing significantly to the ongoing refinement of the portal by identifying, developing, and implementing new features and enhancements that address user needs and improve functionality.
- Maintaining a current awareness of the latest technologies and emerging trends in the developer experience domain, ensuring the platform remains innovative and competitive.
- Acting as a catalyst for change by proactively engaging and collaborating with stakeholders across various lines of business to understand their requirements and drive platform adoption.
Qualifications
- A strong understanding of TypeScript and related frameworks, such as ReactJS, demonstrating proficiency in modern web development technologies.
- Practical experience with Azure cloud services or comparable cloud architectures, showcasing expertise in cloud-based solutions.
- Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices, indicating experience in modern development workflows.
- Experience with PostgresSQL, Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, and other cloud-native infrastructure technologies is highly preferred, highlighting a command of cloud-native development practices.
- Demonstrated test automation skills, including Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), with experience using relevant tooling such as Jest, Playwright, and K6.
- UI/UX design skills are considered a valuable asset, suggesting an understanding of user-centered design principles.
- The ability to design robust systems and develop high-quality code by applying industry best practices, ensuring code maintainability and scalability.
- A natural curiosity and a strong willingness to learn, continuously improve skills, and stay informed about emerging technologies and design patterns in the software development landscape.
