Canara Bank Apprentice Recruitment 2026: 3,500 Graduate Apprentice Vacancies, Eligibility, Stipend, Fee & Apply Online

The apprenticeship training period is 12 months. The training will be provided through on-the-job training at selected Canara Bank branches according to the prescribed course/curriculum.

However, candidates should note that apprentices will not be treated as regular employees of Canara Bank and will not receive the benefits applicable to regular Bank employees. The Bank also has no obligation to offer regular employment after completion of the apprenticeship.

Canara Bank Apprentice Application Fee 2026

The application fee and intimation charges are:

The fee is non-refundable.

Canara Bank Apprentice Selection Process 2026

There is no written examination mentioned for selection. Candidates will be shortlisted through a State-wise merit list prepared based on marks/percentage obtained in the 12th Standard (HSC/10+2) or Diploma examination.

The selection process includes:

State-wise merit list
Document Verification
Local Language Test, wherever applicable
Medical fitness
Apprenticeship contract through the NATS portal

Candidates with the same percentage will be ranked according to age in descending order.

Minimum Marks Required

Candidates must have secured at least:

60% in 12th/Diploma for General and other applicable candidates
55% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates

A percentage below the prescribed threshold, such as 59.99% where 60% is required, will not qualify.

Canara Bank Apprentice Local Language Test

Candidates applying for a State must satisfy the local-language requirement.

Candidates who have studied the specified local language in 10th or 12th standard and can produce the relevant marksheet/certificate will not have to take the local-language test.

Other candidates will have to qualify in the local-language test during the document verification process. Candidates who fail the test will not be engaged as apprentices.

For example, the local language specified for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana is Telugu/Urdu.

NATS Registration is Mandatory

Before applying for the Canara Bank apprenticeship, candidates must register on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal.

After successful registration, an enrollment number will be generated. Candidates must have a 100% complete NATS profile to be eligible to apply for the Canara Bank apprenticeship.

Candidates will also need to mention their NATS enrollment ID while submitting the Canara Bank application.
