Junior Engineer (Electrical):
Selected candidates will be appointed as Junior Engineers in the respective Delhi Government departments, including NDMC, Delhi Transco Limited, MCD, Delhi Agricultural Marketing Board and Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board.
The role is associated with electrical engineering work. Candidates should possess the prescribed electrical engineering qualifications and, wherever required, professional experience in electrical installation, maintenance or related engineering work.
The notification does not provide separate detailed day-to-day job responsibilities for each department.
Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS):
MTS candidates will be recruited across different Delhi Government departments. The posts are designated as Multi-Tasking Staff and involve departmental support roles. Specific duties will depend on the concerned department.
MTS General Duty:
This position is available in the Directorate of Education and other departments. Candidates will be appointed to MTS General Duty positions as per departmental requirements.
MTS Aaya (Female):
This position is exclusively for female candidates under the Directorate of Education. Candidates should satisfy the prescribed educational and other eligibility requirements.

4. Application Fee
The application fee for DSSSB Recruitment 2026 is ₹100.
Fee Exemption:
Women candidates are exempted from the application fee.
SC candidates are exempted.
ST candidates are exempted.
Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) are exempted.
Eligible Ex-Servicemen are exempted.
Candidates who are required to pay the application fee must complete the payment through SBI e-Pay.
The application fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.
Education Required:
Junior Engineer (Electrical):
New Delhi Municipal Council: Degree in Electrical Engineering OR Diploma in Electrical Engineering with two years of professional experience.
Delhi Agricultural Marketing Board: Diploma in Electrical Engineering with two years of experience in electrical installation or maintenance work.
Municipal Corporation of Delhi: Degree in Electrical Engineering OR Diploma in Electrical Engineering with two years of professional experience.
Delhi Transco Limited: Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering as prescribed by the department.
Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board: Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognised institution or equivalent.
Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS):
Candidates must have passed Matriculation (10th Class) or equivalent from a recognised board.
For MTS posts in Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board, candidates must have passed 10th Class or ITI from a recognised institution.
MTS Aaya (Female) posts are exclusively for female candidates.
Age Limit
The age limit differs according to the department and post.
Junior Engineer – New Delhi Municipal Council: 18 to 32 years.
Junior Engineer – Delhi Agricultural Marketing Board: 18 to 27 years.
Junior Engineer – Municipal Corporation of Delhi: Maximum 27 years.
Junior Engineer – Delhi Transco Limited: 18 to 27 years.
Junior Engineer – Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board: 18 to 27 years.
MTS – Most Departments: 18 to 27 years.
Age Relaxation
Age relaxation is applicable as per government rules.
SC/ST: 5 years.
OBC (Delhi): 3 years.
PwBD: 10 years.
PwBD + SC/ST: 15 years.
PwBD + OBC: 13 years.
Ex-Servicemen: Military service period plus 3 years, subject to applicable conditions.
The crucial date for calculating age and educational qualifications is 11 December 2026.
Selection Process
The selection process for DSSSB Recruitment 2026 will be conducted through computer-based examinations.
Junior Engineer (Electrical):
Candidates must appear for a Two-Tier Technical Examination.
Tier 1: 200 questions for 200 marks.
Tier 2: 150 questions for 200 marks.
Tier 1 duration: 2 hours.
Tier 2 duration: 2 hours and 30 minutes.
Tier 1 includes General Awareness, Reasoning, Numerical Ability, Hindi, English and Electrical Engineering-related questions.
Tier 2 consists of technical subject questions and application-based problem-solving questions.
Tier 1 is qualifying in nature, and Tier 2 marks will be used for final merit.
Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS):
Candidates must appear for a One-Tier General Examination.
The examination consists of:
General Awareness.
General Intelligence and Reasoning.
Arithmetical and Numerical Ability.
Hindi Language and Comprehension.
English Language and Comprehension.
The examination consists of 200 questions for 200 marks, with a duration of 2 hours.
Final selection will be based on examination performance, applicable qualifying marks, merit and verification of eligibility by the concerned department.
