Job Description

YipitData is seeking a Data QA Associate to join its rapidly growing E-commerce insights product team in India. This fully remote role is responsible for a significant portion of the data cleaning and quality assurance processes for the product. The Data QA Associate will transform receipt data into accurate business expense insights, working closely with top-tier engineering and data teams based in the U.S. and China. The primary tool for this role will be YipitData’s proprietary software. This position offers a substantial opportunity to contribute to the company’s growth, with potential for promotion to team management for exceptional performers. The expected working hours are 8 am to 5 pm IST, with a general requirement for some overlap with Chinese or U.S. work hours. The company anticipates new hires starting as soon as possible, with a deadline of June 2025. The role emphasizes collaboration, data integrity, and direct contribution to business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate and efficient data extraction, labeling, and cleaning from email panels or AI-generated datasets to ensure high-quality data.
• Monitor and analyze data trends for various merchants and vendors, including email categorization and trend identification.
• Maintain the stability of merchant and vendor data, investigating anomalies such as sudden drops or spikes in data volume.
• Collaborate with teams in both China and the U.S. to ensure data consistency and quality.
• Provide timely responses to analysts’ and clients’ demands and inquiries.
• Ensure compliance with company data security and confidentiality policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in Computer Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• 0 to 2 years of experience as a data or quality assurance analyst.
• Experience in data tagging, cleaning, or Regex.
• Experience managing multiple processes concurrently.
• Basic data analysis skills.
• Familiarity with Excel, SQL, or Python is considered a plus.
• Exceptional attention to detail, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
• Ability to work independently while coordinating with a remote team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to interact effectively with vendors and internal teams across different time zones and cultures.
