Job Description

We are seeking highly motivated and skilled individuals to join our engineering team as Software Development Engineer 1 (SDE-1). As an Android SDE-1 at Swiggy, you will assume a critical role in the development and enhancement of our Android mobile application, a platform relied upon by millions of users for food ordering, grocery shopping, dine-in reservations, and a seamless delivery experience. This position provides a unique opportunity to collaborate closely with our talented team of Android developers and acquire invaluable practical experience within the dynamic realm of app development. We are looking for a passionate Android Software Development Engineer (SDE-1) to become an integral member of our team. Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-quality Android applications, leveraging Kotlin and other pertinent technologies.
• Collaborate closely with the Android development team to gain a comprehensive understanding of the app’s architecture, codebase, and functionality.
• Contribute to the design, implementation, and testing of new features and improvements for the Swiggy Android app.
• Work in collaboration with backend developers to facilitate API integration and ensure seamless data exchange between the application and the server.
• Participate in code reviews to uphold code quality and ensure adherence to industry best practices.
• Identify and troubleshoot technical issues, delivering innovative solutions to guarantee optimal app performance and a superior user experience.
• Remain current with the latest trends, frameworks, and technologies within the Android development landscape.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and backend developers, to ensure the seamless integration of new features.
• Actively contribute innovative ideas and suggestions to enhance the user experience and overall app performance.
• Provide assistance in the ongoing maintenance and enhancement of existing features and functionalities within the application.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• Comprehensive understanding of Kotlin and the Android SDK.
• Solid foundation in object-oriented programming and design principles.
• Exceptional problem-solving and debugging capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
