Job Description
Tesla, Inc. is actively seeking an Application Support Engineer to join their team. This role involves providing round-the-clock support for various Tesla applications. Key responsibilities include implementing operational fixes, conducting proactive maintenance to ensure service continuity, resolving issues reported by internal users and clients, and coordinating with internal and external teams to address production problems. The role also requires determining operational requirements for the development team, identifying root causes of service failures, and supporting escalation processes. Candidates will also be involved in designing and developing high-quality, scalable, and stable web applications and/or backend services using .NET with C#, developing client-side applications, and ensuring security best practices in all development. This includes participating in unit testing, bug fixing, code reviews, and Agile processes. Strong verbal and written communication skills are preferred.

Responsibilities
- Provide 24×7 Application Support across multiple Tesla applications by working in shifts.
- Apply operation break fixes and conduct proactive maintenance activities to ensure services remain operational.
- Evaluate issues reported by Tesla internal users and clients, and provide ongoing solutions.
- Own specific production problems and actively coordinate with various internal and external vendor support groups for resolution.
- Determine configuration and operational requirements for the development team.
- Participate in and determine the root cause of service failures and support escalation.
- Design and develop high-quality, scalable, and stable web applications and/or backend services using .NET with C#.
- Develop client-side applications that connect with web services.
- Develop back-end web services.
- Ensure the highest standards for security best practices in all development, utilizing principles of software design, algorithm development, data structures, code modularity, and maintainability.
- Partner closely with the security team for code analysis and design reviews using .NET Framework, .NET Core, package management, and dependency injection.
- Perform unit testing, process bug reports and release fixes.
- Participate in code reviews and Agile processes.
Qualifications
- Database Experience with advanced SQL Skills
- Experience in designing and developing high quality, scalable and stable web applications and/or backend services using .NET with C#.
- Experience in developing client-side applications that connect with web services.
- Experience in developing back-end web services.
- Understanding of security-best practices in development.
- Familiarity with principles of Software design, algorithm development, data structures, code modularity and maintainability.
- Experience with .NET Framework, .NET Core, package management, and dependency injection.
- Experience in performing unit testing.
- Experience processing bug reports and releasing fixes.
- Experience participating in code reviews and Agile processes.
