Job Description
Cognizant is conducting a Walk-in Drive in Hyderabad for freshers to fill the role of News Analyst. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who graduated in 2022, 2023, 2024, or 2025 with a three or four-year full-time degree. As a News Analyst, you will be integral to the algorithm training process, helping to identify key factors relevant to clients. You will work with breaking news, utilizing your enthusiasm for technology, social media, and online content. The role requires candidates with expertise in mass communications, copy editing, journalism, or similar fields, who are motivated, adaptable, and possess a keen interest in real-time data analysis and quality assurance. The position is non-voice and involves analyzing real-time data, identifying and rectifying errors in news alerts, cross-checking information for accuracy, writing and editing social media captions, auditing data, and ensuring algorithmic quality. Continuous learning about new policies and procedures is also expected. The role offers a flexible, remote work environment with 24/7 project shifts.

Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze real-time data from multiple datasets.
- Identify and investigate errors in news alerts and captions.
- Cross-check information with social media posts for accuracy, completeness, and factual correctness.
- Write and edit captions for social media posts.
- Audit and programmatically apply business rules for data validation.
- Improve the quality of the dataset output through QA algorithmic processes.
- Stay up-to-date on new policies, processes, and procedures impacting the QA workflow.
- Adapt quickly in a rapidly changing environment.
Qualifications
- Graduated in 2022, 2023, 2024, or 2025 with a three or four-year full-time degree.
- Degree in Journalism, Communications, English, Political/Social Sciences, or related fields.
- Expertise in mass communications, copy editing, journalism, or similar assignments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
- Goal and result-oriented mindset.
- Strong English skills at a B2 level or higher.
