JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has released a new recruitment notification for Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ posts in Electronics, Mechanical and Computer Science disciplines. The recruitment is being conducted through the ISRO Centralised Recruitment Board (ICRB) under the Department of Space, Government of India.

    A total of 175 vacancies are available for eligible engineering graduates. Selected candidates will be appointed in Level 10 of the Pay Matrix.

    ISRO Vacancy Details

    The recruitment includes 99 vacancies for Electronics, 52 vacancies for Mechanical, and 21 vacancies for Computer Science. In addition, one vacancy each is available for Electronics, Mechanical and Computer Science at PRL.

  • Candidates should have a BE/BTech or equivalent degree in the relevant discipline with a minimum of 65% marks or CGPA 6.84/10.

    The maximum age is 28 years as on 16 September 2026. Applicable age relaxation is available for eligible categories as per Government of India rules.

    Application Fee

    The application fee is ₹250, while candidates initially have to pay a ₹750 processing fee.

    The application must be submitted online through the ISRO recruitment portal between 27 August and 16 September 2026.

    Selection Process

    The selection process includes a Written Test/CBT followed by an Interview.

    The CBT carries 100 marks. Part A consists of 80 discipline-specific MCQs with negative marking, while Part B is an aptitude/ability test. Candidates are shortlisted for the interview based on written-test performance.

    The final selection gives 50% weightage to the Written Test and 50% to the Interview.

    ISRO Salary

    Selected Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ candidates will be placed in Level 10, with a minimum basic pay of ₹56,100 per month, along with applicable allowances and benefits under the rules.
