Responsibilities
- Ensure quality of biologicals in the country.
- Conduct quality control testing of Biologicals and Biotherapeutics.
- Review technical dossiers of Biologicals and Biotherapeutics, including vaccines, CMC, non-clinical trial data, and clinical trial data.
- Review technical dossiers of In Vitro Diagnostic (IVD) Medical Devices.
- Evaluate and review adverse events, including AEFI, pharmacovigilance, hemovigilance, and materiovigilance.
- Manage Quality Systems with application of ISO: 17025 and ISO: 34 using a Total Quality Management approach.
- Conduct research in Biologicals and Biotherapeutics.
- Provide veterinary practice and laboratory support.
- Perform administrative, stores, and accounts duties.
- Undertake translation work from Hindi to English and vice-versa.
- Conduct practical work in a medical laboratory or research institution.
- Maintain accurate typing speed for administrative tasks.
- Support the overall functioning and mission of the National Institute of Biologicals.
Qualifications
- Scientist Grade-II (Medical): MBBS with PG Medical degree in Microbiology/Biochemistry/Immunohematology & Blood Transfusion/Pharmacology/Bacteriology/Serology/Hematology and 5 years relevant experience.
- Scientist Grade-II (Non-Medical): Master’s degree (min 60% marks) in Microbiology/Clinical Microbiology/Biotechnology/Bioinformatics/Biochemistry/Bacteriology/Physiology/Pharmacology/Serology/Molecular Biology from a recognized university AND 7 years relevant experience OR Ph.D. in relevant discipline and 3 years relevant experience.
- Scientist Grade-III (Veterinarian): M.V.Sc degree in Veterinary Medicine/Veterinary Public Health/Veterinary Microbiology/Veterinary Pathology/Veterinary Epidemiology AND 2 years experience in veterinary practice and lab.
- Junior Scientist: Master Degree in Microbiology/Clinical Microbiology/Biotechnology/Bioinformatics/Bio-chemistry/Bacteriology/Pharmacology/Serology/Molecular Biology/Physiology AND 1 year experience in specified areas.
- Administrative Assistant: Graduate in Arts/Commerce/Science with 50% marks AND 5 years experience in Administration/Stores/Accounts in Government/Autonomous organization. Desirable: Diploma in Computer/IT.
- Jr. Hindi Translator: Master’s degree in Hindi with English as compulsory/elective OR Master’s degree in English with Hindi as compulsory/elective OR Master’s degree in any subject with Hindi medium & English as compulsory/elective OR Master’s degree in any subject with English medium & Hindi as compulsory/elective OR Master’s degree in any subject with both Hindi & English as compulsory/elective AND recognized Diploma/Certificate in Translation OR 2 years translation experience.
- Laboratory Technician: Bachelor’s degree in biology (Zoology & Chemistry) OR B.Sc. Microbiology/Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Molecular Biology AND Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology OR Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology. AND 1 year practical experience in Medical Laboratory/Research Institution.
- Assistant-II: 12th Class pass with 50% marks AND Accurate Typing speed of 35 WPM in English or 30 WPM in Hindi on computer.
