Data QA Associate – Job Description

YipitData is seeking a Data QA Associate for their India Remote team to support their rapidly growing E-commerce product insights. As a Data QA Associate, you will be instrumental in managing data cleaning and quality assurance processes, transforming receipt data into accurate business expense insights. This fully remote job in India involves collaboration with U.S. and China-based engineering and data teams, offering a significant opportunity for career advancement and potential leadership roles within the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform accurate and efficient data extraction, labeling, and cleaning from email panels or AI-generated datasets.
• Monitor and analyze data trends for various merchants and vendors, including email categorization and trend identification.
• Maintain the stability of merchant and vendor data, investigating anomalies such as sudden drops or spikes in data volume.
• Collaborate with international teams in China and the U.S. to ensure data consistency and quality.
• Provide timely responses to data-related inquiries from analysts and clients.
• Ensure strict adherence to company data security and confidentiality policies.
• Contribute to the improvement of data cleaning and QA processes.
• Identify and flag data quality issues for further investigation and resolution.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in Computer Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• 0-2 years of experience in a data or quality assurance analyst role.
• Experience with data tagging, cleaning, or regular expressions (Regex).
• Proven ability to manage multiple processes concurrently.
• Basic data analysis skills.
• Familiarity with Excel, SQL, or Python is advantageous.
• Knowledge of accounting standards and ability to distinguish accounting categories.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
