Associate Product Support Engineer – Job Description

Appfire is seeking a motivated Associate Product Support Engineer to join our expanding team in India. This full-time role involves providing technical assistance for Appfire’s innovative products and cutting-edge Atlassian tools like Jira and Confluence. As an Associate Product Support Engineer, you will diagnose, configure, and resolve complex technical issues for global clients, collaborating closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams.




Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, configure, and troubleshoot technical problems associated with Appfire Apps within the Atlassian landscape.
  • Provide technical guidance and L1/L2 issue resolution support for customer-reported issues.
  • Utilize analytical and problem-solving skills to research, diagnose, and resolve customer-reported issues.
  • Assist in L3 investigations under the guidance of senior engineering staff.
  • Take full ownership of customer issues from initial report through to successful resolution.
  • Collaborate effectively with Senior Engineers, Leads, and Principals within Support and Engineering teams.
  • Maintain clear and concise documentation of troubleshooting steps and resolutions.
  • Contribute to the improvement of product support processes and knowledge base.
  • Ensure timely and accurate communication with customers regarding issue status and resolution.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (3 or 4 years) in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable with flexible shift timings (10 AM–7 PM or 2 PM–11 PM IST).
  • Willingness to participate in weekend rotations for support.
  • Basic understanding of enterprise software or ticketing systems is beneficial.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
