Job Description

The APAC Analytics & Insights team at Uber is seeking a dedicated Business Analyst to collaborate with Community Operations managers throughout the Asia-Pacific region, with the overarching goal of optimizing the customer experience. This role is pivotal in deriving actionable intelligence from customer support data. Responsibilities include pinpointing critical issues, identifying inefficiencies within existing processes, and empowering key stakeholders to make data-informed decisions. The successful candidate will contribute to enhancing customer satisfaction and generating business value through a more seamless and efficient support experience.

Responsibilities

• Transform complex business challenges into analytical solutions by developing and executing efficient SQL queries for data extraction and analysis.
• Perform in-depth root-cause analysis to determine the underlying factors driving customer support interactions and to identify gaps in processes, products, and operational workflows.
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve the customer experience and equip stakeholders with data-driven insights to facilitate long-term improvements and strategic enhancements.
• Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive dashboards to monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), identify emerging trends, and highlight anomalies that require prompt attention from stakeholders.
• Communicate actionable insights effectively through clear and compelling data storytelling, thereby supporting informed strategic decision-making processes.
• Contribute to a collaborative team environment and mentor colleagues by actively sharing knowledge and best practices.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated strong business acumen and the ability to translate intricate business questions into practical analytical solutions.
• Expert-level proficiency in data querying and manipulation using SQL.
• Proven proficiency in utilizing Python for data analysis and automating recurring tasks.
• Substantial experience in data visualization and dashboard creation using tools such as Looker Studio and Tableau.
• Mastery of G-Suite productivity tools.
• Documented experience in stakeholder management and the effective presentation of data-driven insights.
• Exceptional communication skills, coupled with a talent for conveying data-driven narratives in a compelling manner.
• A self-motivated approach with a proactive mindset towards identifying opportunities for process improvements and optimization.
