Selection Process

The selection process consists of:

1. Online Computer-Based Test

The examination contains:

* General Awareness
* English & Reasoning
* Technical Questions (Concerned Engineering Discipline)

2. Personal Interview

Candidates shortlisted from the written examination will be called for interview.

Final merit will be prepared using:

* **85% Weightage – Online Test**
* **15% Weightage – Interview**

Candidates must qualify both stages as per the prescribed criteria.

Education Required:

Applicants must possess a **full-time Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology** in the prescribed disciplines from a recognized university.
Eligible branches include:
* Mechanical Engineering

Only the engineering branches specifically listed in the notification are eligible. Distance education and part-time engineering degrees are not accepted.

Minimum Marks Required
Candidates should have secured:
* **UR/OBC-NCL/EWS:** Minimum **70% aggregate**
* **SC/ST/PwBD:** Minimum **60% aggregate**
Final-year engineering students are also eligible, provided they satisfy the prescribed academic requirements before document verification.

* Maximum Age for UR/EWS: **28 Years**
Age relaxation:
* OBC (NCL): 3 Years
* SC/ST: 5 Years
* PwBD: 10 Years (additional relaxation as applicable)
* Other relaxations apply as per Government rules.

Training & Service Bond
Selected candidates will undergo **52 weeks of training**.
After joining, candidates must execute a **5-year Service Agreement Bond** (excluding the training period). In case of breach, reimbursement of training expenses may be required, subject to the limit specified in the notification.
