DESCRIPTION:
The Netflix India Storytelling Initiative, in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Creative Technologies (IICT), is offering scholarships to Indian students interested in Animation, VFX, Gaming, Comics and Extended Reality (AVGC-XR).
Applications are open from August 24, 2026, to September 30, 2026. The scholarship programme covers six specialised courses, with scholarship coverage currently stated on the programme website as 50% to 80% of the applicable programme fee.

Courses Offered Under Netflix × IICT Scholarship
The scholarship programme currently lists six courses.
1. Interactive Comics & Sequential Art – ICSA
Duration: 1 Year Diploma
Students learn visual storytelling, character design, comic creation and sequential narrative techniques.
Career opportunities: Comic Artist, Storyboard Artist, Character Designer, Concept Artist, Graphic Novelist and Visual Development Artist.
2. Visual Effects Mastery – VFX
Duration: 1 Year Diploma
This programme focuses on the VFX production pipeline, compositing, CGI integration and cinematic visual effects using industry-standard workflows.
Career opportunities: VFX Artist, Compositor, Roto Artist, Matchmove Artist, FX Artist, CG Generalist and Production Coordinator.
3. Virtual Art Department Content Creation – VAD
Duration: 6 Months Certificate
Students learn real-time virtual production, digital environment creation and content development for film, television and immersive media.
Career opportunities: Virtual Production Artist, Environment Artist, Unreal Engine Artist, LED Volume Content Creator and Virtual Production Assistant.
4. Art of Character Animation – ACA
Duration: 6 Months Certificate
The course covers character animation, acting for animation, movement, performance and storytelling.
Career opportunities: Character Animator, 2D/3D Animator, Animation Artist, Layout Artist, Animation Production Assistant and Motion Graphics Artist.
5. Media Technology Workflows – MTW
Duration: 6 Months Certificate
Students learn media production workflows, asset management, post-production pipelines and collaborative content delivery.
Career opportunities: Media Workflow Coordinator, Post-Production Coordinator, Content Operations Executive, Media Asset Manager and Production Assistant.
6. E-Sports & Gaming Management – EGM
Duration: 6 Months Certificate
This programme focuses on business, operations and event management within the esports and gaming ecosystem.
Career opportunities: Esports Manager, Tournament Operations Executive, Community Manager, Gaming Event Producer, Team Coordinator and Business Development Executive.

Netflix IICT Scholarship Selection Process
The selection process consists of five stages:
- Application & Eligibility Review
- Online MCQ Assessment
- Portfolio/Course Assessment
- Personal Interview
- Final Selection & Scholarship Offer
Shortlisted candidates may need to complete a programme-specific assessment or portfolio review.
The application process also requires candidates to provide academic details, relevant experience, portfolio or demo links and other supporting information.
