System Engineer (Network Engineer) – Job Description

Razorpay is seeking a skilled System Engineer, also known as a Network Engineer, for a full-time, remote position. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and managing Razorpay’s robust enterprise network infrastructure. This role involves ensuring high availability, security, and performance of our critical network systems, supporting our rapid growth and commitment to excellence in the fintech industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, implement, and support enterprise network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, wireless, and cloud security platforms.
• Manage and troubleshoot Palo Alto Firewalls extensively, including policies, NAT, VPNs, security profiles, upgrades, and high availability.
• Configure and support Cisco Nexus switches, focusing on VLANs, VPC, routing, OS upgrades, and troubleshooting.
• Administer and optimize Cisco Meraki switches and access points, including dashboard management, monitoring, and wireless architecture.
• Provide support for Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and ZTNA solutions, covering policy configuration and end-user issue resolution.
• Monitor network performance proactively using standard tools, identifying and resolving potential issues before they impact services.
• Manage network-related incidents, service requests, and changes within a ticketing system, ensuring timely resolution and adherence to SLAs.
• Conduct thorough root cause analysis (RCA) for network problems and implement effective preventive measures.
• Collaborate effectively with internal teams, external vendors, and service providers to resolve complex issues and drive continuous improvement.
• Participate actively in network upgrades, technology migrations, and the deployment of new network solutions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven, hands-on experience with Palo Alto Firewalls (mandatory).
• Extensive experience in configuring and supporting Cisco Nexus switches (mandatory).
• Demonstrated hands-on experience with Cisco Meraki switches and wireless access points (mandatory).
• Familiarity with Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and ZTNA solutions.
• Solid understanding of network monitoring tools and techniques.
• Experience with ITIL processes and incident management systems.
