Technical Support Specialist – Job Description

APEXX is seeking a dedicated Technical Support Specialist to join their remote team in India. As a Technical Support Specialist at APEXX, you will be instrumental in providing excellent support to our merchants, ensuring swift resolution of technical queries and incidents. This full-time role involves hands-on investigation and communication to maintain high service standards.




Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate and troubleshoot technical issues encountered by merchants.
  • Identify and categorize incidents using the APEXX technical incident matrix.
  • Conduct thorough first-line investigations for all incoming technical queries.
  • Determine appropriate escalation paths for complex technical problems.
  • Deliver exceptional support to merchants concerning their inquiries and issues.
  • Investigate and address out-of-hours incidents reported by merchants.
  • Initiate the incident management process and escalate to L2 support when necessary.
  • Prepare and disseminate merchant communications regarding technical incidents.
  • Manage phone communications with merchants for ongoing incident resolution.
  • Facilitate effective team communication during shift handovers and daily stand-ups.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Technical Support Engineer, preferably within a startup or fintech environment.
  • Proficiency in utilizing ticketing and collaboration platforms like Freshdesk, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Demonstrated basic to intermediate SQL skills for data analysis.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Postman, Excel, Kibana, or Grafana is considered an advantage.
