Job Title: Project Cursa – Robot Manipulation Video Annotator

Location: Remote (Philippines/India/Mexico/Egypt)

Work type: Freelance

Language: English

Pay Rate: US$3.5 per hour

What You’ll Do

Watch short videos of robot manipulation, each recorded from three synchronized camera angles (an overhead view plus views from the robot’s two wrist-mounted cameras).
Divide each video into time segments and write clear, natural-language descriptions for every segment.
For each applicable segment, apply labels at three levels of detail:
Atomic motion (a few seconds) — one small movement (e.g., “close fingers around the red handle”)
Skill / subtask (several seconds to ~20 seconds) — a complete, meaningful action (e.g., “pick up the red block by its edge”)
Task / goal (up to ~1 minute) — the overall purpose of a sequence of skills (e.g., “place all blocks in the container”)

Education Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required;
  • any graduation
  • any stream
  • any post graduation
  • fresher’s
  • experienced also

skills

  • Make sure a label at two or more of these levels covers every moment of video — no gaps at all, including idle or pause moments.
Describe precisely what happens, including instances when things don’t go as planned (an object is dropped, a grasp fails, a grip slips). Accuracy matters more than making the robot appear successful.
Cross-reference all three camera angles: rely on the overhead view to grasp the overall scene and identify objects, and use the close-up wrist views to verify exact contact and grasp details.
Adhere to a detailed style guide that covers vocabulary for actions, spatial relationships, object descriptions, and manner of movement, and apply it consistently across many episodes.
Take part in regular calibration sessions so your labeling stays aligned with the team and the client’s reference examples.

    What We’re Looking For

    Required:

Strong written English — you’ll write dozens of short, precise descriptive sentences per video and must vary your wording instead of repeating the same phrases.
Keen attention to detail — able to tell apart small differences (a successful grasp versus a fumble, a push versus a drag, which specific object part is being touched).
Comfortable following a detailed, structured style guide and applying it consistently, even in ambiguous or edge-case scenarios.
Basic comfort with spatial and mechanical description (left/right, above/below, naming object parts such as handles, lids, or edges).
Reliable, self-directed work habits — this is often heads-down work with periodic check-ins rather than close supervision.
