Responsibilities
- Engage in data mining activities to extract pertinent and actionable data from diverse and significant data repositories.
- Employ machine learning methodologies and tools for feature selection, development, and optimization of classification models.
- Execute preprocessing procedures on both structured and unstructured datasets to ensure data quality and usability.
- Improve and refine data collection methodologies to encompass all essential information necessary for the development of robust analytical systems.
- Perform data processing, cleansing, and validation procedures to guarantee the integrity of data utilized in subsequent analysis.
- Analyze extensive datasets to identify trends, correlations, and develop effective solutions to complex problems.
- Design and implement predictive systems and sophisticated machine learning algorithms.
- Clearly and concisely communicate analytical findings and insights to stakeholders.
- Develop and present strategic recommendations and solutions to address and overcome business challenges.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Business and IT departments.
Qualifications
- Comprehensive understanding of machine learning principles and operations research techniques.
- Proficiency in SPSS, SQL, and Python programming languages; familiarity with Scala, Java, or C++ is considered a valuable asset.
- Demonstrated experience utilizing business intelligence tools, such as SPSS, and working with data frameworks like Hadoop.
- Strong analytical capabilities coupled with sound business acumen.
- Solid foundation in mathematical concepts, including statistics and algebra.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and aptitude.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities, both written and verbal.
