Job Description
Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) is undertaking a special drive for the recruitment of Engineering Graduates as Executive Trainees (ETs) for backlog vacancies in the SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwBD categories. This recruitment is being conducted through the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025. Positions are available in the disciplines of Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, and C&I engineering.

Responsibilities
- Undertake training as an Executive Trainee (ET) in assigned engineering disciplines.
- Contribute to DVC’s core business activities including generation, transmission, distribution, mining, water resources management, and soil conservation.
- Participate in capacity addition and diversification projects.
- Adhere to DVC’s commitment to sustainable power generation and eco-friendly technologies.
- Complete a one-year probation period successfully.
- Upon successful completion of probation, absorb as Assistant Manager.
- Serve the organization for a total of four years (one-year probation + three years service) as per the service agreement bond.
Qualifications
- Full-time Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology in Mechanical/ Production/ Industrial Engineering/ Production & Industrial Engineering/ Thermal/ Mechanical & Automation/ Power Engineering (for Mechanical ETs).
- Full-time Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology in Electrical/ Electrical & Electronics/ Electrical, Instrumentation & Control/ Power Systems & High Voltage/ Power Electronics/ Power Engineering (for Electrical ETs).
- Full-time Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology in Civil Engineering (for Civil ETs).
- Full-time Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology in Electronics & Instrumentation/ Instrumentation & Control/ Electronics Instrumentation & Control (for C&I ETs).
- Minimum 65% marks in aggregate for General and OBC(NCL) candidates, and 60% marks for SC/ST/PwBD candidates in their respective disciplines.
- Must have appeared and qualified in the corresponding GATE-2025 paper.
- Valid GATE-2025 Marks (out of 100) are essential; GATE marks from 2024 or prior are not valid.
- Upper Age Limit: 29 years as on the closing date of online application for Unreserved candidates (with relaxations for reserved categories).
- No upper age limit for DVC Departmental candidates (who must also qualify in GATE-2025).
- Educational qualifications must be from an AICTE/statutory authority-approved Indian University/Institution.
- Candidates appearing in the final semester of their degree in 2025 are eligible to apply but must submit final year mark sheets and provisional degree certificates at the time of Document Verification.

Other Information
The recruitment drive is specifically for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwBD backlog vacancies. Candidates must apply online only through the DVC website. The advertisement is dated November 28, 2025. A service agreement bond is required for selected candidates. DVC reserves the right to modify or cancel the recruitment process. In case of any discrepancy between English and Hindi versions, the English version will prevail.
