Project Specialist – Job Description
Parexel is seeking a skilled Project Specialist to join their global Project Leadership group in India. In this remote role, you will be instrumental in leading cross-functional teams to successfully deliver high-quality clinical trials and expedite the market launch of innovative treatments. You will collaborate closely with clients and internal teams to define project requirements, develop comprehensive project plans, and meticulously manage timelines and budgets, ensuring patient well-being remains paramount.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure project management tools and systems are configured according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
- Facilitate the setup of project-specific training within the Learning Management System (LMS).
- Assist Project Leaders in developing initial schedules and resource allocation plans using Project View.
- Contribute to drafting coherent project management plans, coordinating activities across different functional teams.
- Track project progress, analyze data, and proactively highlight potential issues to the project team.
- Maintain and update project schedules and resource plans based on Project Lead input.
- Prepare essential components of monthly management and dashboard reports.
- Manage and update project tracking databases and compile data for various project-related materials.
- Organize project correspondence, manage document storage, and ensure timely updates to the project plan.
- Support the coordination of action items from project meetings and track their follow-up.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field; an advanced degree is desirable.
- PMP or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Initial years of experience in a similar project support or coordination role preferred.
- Extensive working knowledge of the English language.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
- Familiarity with project management software like MS Project or similar tools.
