Job Description

S&P Global Energy is seeking enthusiastic recent graduates to join their innovative IMPACT (Innovative Mentoring and Professional Acceleration in Commodities) Graduate Program. This 18-month program offers a dynamic learning experience through three six-month rotations across various technology domains, including Full Stack Development, Data Science/AI-ML, Data Engineering/Data Virtualization, Cloud Engineering, DevOps, Automation, Agile Project Management, and Product Development. Participants will specialize in 3-4 of these areas, gaining hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies and real-world projects. The program is designed to provide a strong foundation in energy research, industry best practices, and the development of software solutions that meet customer needs and drive the company’s success. Graduates will receive structured training, mentorship, continuous feedback, and career guidance, with opportunities to transition into specialized tech roles upon successful completion.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, deliver, and support software solutions and core software products.
• Translate change requests into technical designs and implementations.
• Enhance existing functionalities and implement new capabilities within core products.
• Continuously improve aspects of the core product architecture.
• Ensure the delivery of solutions into production, maintaining performance, resilience, and customer satisfaction.
• Participate in job rotations across different technology departments.
• Engage in project-based work assignments and gain practical experience.
• Contribute to solving real-world challenges within the energy and commodities markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or another analytical/technical subject.
• Expected graduation year of 2026.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.
• Willingness to work in 24×5 rotational shifts as per business requirements.
• Foundational knowledge in coding, data structures, and algorithms.
• A strong desire to build a career in software development and delivery.
• Demonstrable ability to quickly understand and apply new technical concepts and frameworks.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Aptitude for learning and adapting quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to build strong working relationships in a collaborative team setting.
• Familiarity with database concepts.
• Good understanding of object-oriented programming, clean code principles, and design patterns.
• Knowledge of software development techniques such as unit testing, pair programming, and code reviews.
