Kendriya Vidyalaya Guntur Recruitment 2026: Walk-in Interview for TGT, PRT, Telugu Teacher, Counsellor and Data Entry Operator Posts

The notification invites applications for the following positions for the academic year 2026–27.

1. TGT Social Science

Candidates applying for the Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) Social Science post must possess a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university with at least 50% aggregate marks in the concerned subject, along with a B.Ed. degree.

The subject combination must include any two of the following subjects:

History

Geography

Economics

Political Science

At least one of the two subjects must be History or Geography.

Candidates must have a B.Ed. degree from an institution or university recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), with at least 50% marks. CTET Paper II qualification is required as specified in the notification. The notice states that preference will be given to CTET-qualified candidates; in their absence, other eligible candidates may be considered under KVS recruitment rules.

Desirable qualifications: Knowledge of computer applications and proficiency in teaching through Hindi and English mediums.

2. Primary Teacher (PRT)

Candidates interested in the Primary Teacher position must satisfy one of the educational qualification combinations mentioned in the notification.

Qualification option 1: Senior Secondary, Higher Secondary or Intermediate (10+2) with at least 50% marks and a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education from a recognized institute or board.

Qualification option 2: Class 12 with at least 50% marks and a four-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) from a recognized institution or board.

Qualification option 3: Class 12 with at least 50% marks and a two-year Diploma in Education (Special Education) recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI).

Candidates must also have qualified in CTET Paper I conducted by the Government of India, as specified in the notification.

Desirable qualifications: Working knowledge of computers and knowledge of English and Hindi or a Bharatiya Bhasha.

Candidates should carefully verify their qualification combination and eligibility before attending the interview.

3. Educational Counsellor

Candidates applying for the Educational Counsellor position must have at least 50% marks in the relevant qualification.

The notification specifies B.A., B.Sc., M.A. or M.Sc. in Psychology, along with a certificate or diploma in counselling.

The following qualifications are desirable:

At least one year of experience providing career or educational counselling to students in schools.

Registration with the Rehabilitation Council of India as a Vocational Counsellor.

Knowledge of computer applications.

Candidates with the prescribed psychology qualification and counselling credentials should review the notification carefully before attending.

4. Telugu Teacher

Candidates applying for the Telugu Teacher post must possess a bachelor’s or honours degree from a recognized institution or university with at least 50% marks in the concerned subject.

The candidate should have studied Telugu as an elective or main subject for at least three years or six semesters during the degree course.

In addition, candidates must possess either:

A B.Ed. degree from an NCTE-recognized institution or university with at least 50% marks; or

A three-year integrated B.Ed.–M.Ed. qualification from an NCTE-recognized institution or university with at least 50% marks.

CTET Paper II qualification is specified in the notification.

Desirable qualification: Knowledge of computer applications.

5. Data Entry Operator

The Data Entry Operator position may be suitable for candidates who have completed their Intermediate or Class 12 education and possess the required typing and computer skills.

The notification specifies the following qualifications:

Passed the Class 12 examination.

English typing speed of at least 35 words per minute (WPM).

Hindi typing speed of at least 30 words per minute (WPM).

Knowledge of computer applications, including Windows, MS Office, spreadsheets, email and the internet.

Candidates meeting these requirements can consider attending the walk-in interview with the necessary documents.
