As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will be a vital member of a dynamic team bridging the gap between hardware and software. Your responsibilities will encompass the design, development, and optimization of software directly running on hardware, powering a wide array of devices, from smartphones to other intelligent devices. You will collaborate closely with hardware engineers to ensure flawless integration and peak performance. We offer a variety of roles specializing in areas such as operating systems (OS) and bare-metal development, device drivers, firmware engineering, security software implementation, performance and power optimization techniques, machine learning (ML) compiler development, creation of development tools, and the implementation of ML applications within embedded systems. Within a small, agile, and adaptable team, you will be involved in the complete software lifecycle: design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of embedded software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to a forward-thinking team developing custom silicon solutions for Google's consumer products, impacting millions of users. Your expertise will be instrumental in crafting next-generation hardware experiences characterized by superior performance, efficiency, and seamless integration.
• As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will be an integral part of a collaborative team at the forefront of hardware and software development. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing software for various hardware platforms, powering a wide range of consumer devices. You will work in close partnership with hardware engineers to achieve seamless system integration and optimal performance. This role encompasses diverse specializations, including operating systems (OS) and bare-metal development, device driver creation, firmware engineering, security software development, performance and power optimization, machine learning (ML) compiler development, development tool creation, and the implementation of ML applications on embedded systems. As a key contributor to a small, versatile team, you will manage the entire embedded software development lifecycle – design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.

Education Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience programming in C, C++, and/or Python.
• Demonstrated experience working with embedded systems.
• Experience applying data structures to problem-solving, interpreting algorithms, and actively contributing innovative ideas to algorithm development.

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, and/or Python.
• Substantial experience in the development and implementation of embedded systems.
