Job Description
As an Associate System Engineer, you will contribute to one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers, where we deliver specialized technical and industry expertise to a broad spectrum of clients in both the public and private sectors globally. These centers provide clients with access to locally based skills and technical proficiency, accelerating innovation and the adoption of cutting-edge technologies.
As a Software Developer in this role, you will participate in various stages of the software development lifecycle, including design, code implementation, testing, and support. You will be instrumental in creating software solutions that empower our clients’ hybrid-cloud and AI initiatives.
You will have the opportunity to work with the latest technologies, ensuring the delivery of high-performing, highly available, responsive, and maintainable applications.

Responsibilities
- Analytical Problem-Solving and Solution Enhancement: Analyzing, validating, and recommending improvements to existing issues, with guidance from architects and technical leads.
- Comprehensive Engagement Across Process Phases: Active participation in all stages of the development process, from design and development to testing, release management, and troubleshooting, ensuring exceptional customer service.
- Strategic Stakeholder Engagement and Innovative Coding Solutions: Leading critical discussions with stakeholders and analyzing the current technological landscape to identify opportunities for operational improvements and develop creative coding solutions.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in programming languages (preferably Java, C++, Python, or Node.js).
- Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) concepts.
- Must not have any active backlogs.
- Eligibility:
- This is an entry-level off-campus hiring position; candidates must have completed their degree prior to starting employment with IBM.
- Only candidates graduating in 2025 are eligible.
- Candidates with a BE/BTech in Computer Science (including all CS specializations such as CSE, AIML, Data Science, Cloud Computing, Big Data Analytics, CSBS, IoT, Robotics, AI, Cyber Security, Blockchain, etc.) and Information Technology-related branches with a minimum CGPA of 6.0 or 60% are eligible.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
