Job Description

As a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET), specializing in Verification and Validation (V&V) Automation Testing, you will be a key player in ensuring the high quality and reliability of our software systems. Responsibilities

• **Test Automation Development:**
• * Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts utilizing frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, or Cypress, contributing to a robust and scalable automation framework.
• * Seamlessly integrate automated test scripts into Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to ensure rapid feedback loops and efficient testing processes.
• **Verification and Validation:**
• * Thoroughly understand and meticulously implement V&V methodologies to guarantee that the software aligns perfectly with the defined specifications and requirements.
• * Conduct rigorous testing to validate both functional and non-functional requirements, including performance, security, and usability aspects.
• **Test Planning and Execution:**
• * Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (developers, product owners, etc.) to gain a comprehensive understanding of project requirements and collaboratively develop comprehensive test strategies.
• * Execute test cases methodically, meticulously identify and document bugs, and report issues with detailed and accurate documentation, including steps to reproduce and expected versus actual results.
• **Defect Management:**
• * Efficiently track and document software defects using appropriate tracking tools.
• * Conduct thorough root cause analysis to understand the underlying causes of defects and work collaboratively with developers to resolve issues promptly and effectively.
• **Tool Utilization:**
• * Proficiently leverage a variety of test automation tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• * Effectively utilize version control systems like Git for collaborative code management and maintainability.
• * Employ defect tracking tools such as Jira for streamlined bug tracking and reporting, facilitating effective communication and collaboration within the team.
• **Continuous Improvement:**
• * Proactively identify areas where test processes and tools can be optimized to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• * Recommend practical improvements in processes and tools, contributing to a continuous improvement culture within the team.
• * Stay abreast of the latest advancements in test automation and quality assurance best practices to maintain cutting-edge skills and expertise.

Education Qualification

• BSc in IT/Computer Science or BCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications)

Skills

• * A solid understanding of programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
• * Proven knowledge of test automation frameworks including Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, and Appium, demonstrating the ability to design and implement effective automated tests.
• * A fundamental understanding of software testing concepts, including the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• * Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and GitLab, enabling the efficient integration of automated tests into the development pipeline.
• * Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, demonstrating the ability to identify and resolve complex issues effectively.
• * Basic knowledge of APIs and experience using tools like Postman for API testing to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
• * Understanding of databases and SQL, allowing the validation of test data and the verification of data integrity.
• * Hands-on experience with version control tools like Git, demonstrating proficiency in collaborative code management.
