JOB DESCRIPTION:
Indian Railway Catering & Tourism Corporation Limited (IRCTC) has released a notification for the recruitment of Hospitality Monitors on a fixed-term contractual basis. The recruitment is being conducted by IRCTC South Central Zone for qualified Hotel Management and Hospitality professionals.

IRCTC Hospitality Monitor Salary 2026
Selected candidates will receive a total CTC of ₹30,000 per month, including statutory deductions. Other applicable allowances are provided as per the notification.

The daily allowance depends on the duration of onboard duty: 100% for more than 12 hours, 70% for 6 to 12 hours, and 30% for less than 6 hours. Medical insurance reimbursement is subject to submission of valid documents.
The main duties include:
Monitoring food production, quality, and service in nominated mobile catering units.
Supervising catering operations in Vande Bharat, Mail, Express, Tourist, and Bharat Gaurav trains.
Monitoring food production in static catering units, base kitchens, and cluster kitchens.
Ensuring proper cleaning and maintenance of mini pantries and pantries.
Checking equipment functionality and pest control.
Resolving customer and passenger-related complaints.
Collecting customer feedback and supporting corrective action.
Ensuring compliance with hospitality standards and company policies.
Coordinating with departments, offices, and business partners.
Supervising staff and ensuring the availability of manpower and materials.
Education Required:
Full-time B.Sc. in Hospitality and Hotel Administration from a Central or State Institute of Hotel Management affiliated with NCHM&CT, UGC, AICTE, or the Government of India.
BBA or MBA in Culinary Arts from Indian Culinary Institutes under the Ministry of Tourism.
B.Sc. Hotel Management and Catering Science from a government-recognized university affiliated with UGC, AICTE, or the relevant government authority.
MBA in Tourism and Hotel Management from a government-recognized university affiliated with UGC, AICTE, or the relevant government authority.Candidates should verify that their qualification matches the specific requirements of the notification before attending the interview.

The upper age limit is determined by the candidate’s experience and category. The notification specifies the following age and experience requirements:
