RRB JE Recruitment 2026: The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs), under the Ministry of Railways, have released Centralised Employment Notice (CEN) No. 04/2026 for recruitment to various posts of Junior Engineer (JE) and Depot Material Superintendent (DMS). According to the detailed notification, a total of 3,993 vacancies are available across various Railway Zones and Production Units.

Education Required:
For several Junior Engineer posts, candidates require a three-year Diploma in Engineering in the relevant discipline from a recognized University or Institute.

Important Qualification Rule
Candidates must possess the prescribed educational/technical/professional qualification on or before September 13, 2026, which is the closing date for online applications.
Candidates waiting for the final result of the required qualification are not eligible to apply.
RRB JE Age Limit 2026
The age limit is calculated as on January 1, 2027.

Candidates are required to pay the examination fee according to their category.

Out of this ₹500 fee, ₹400 will be refunded, after deduction of applicable bank charges, to candidates who appear in the 1st Stage CBT.

Document Verification (DV)
Medical ExaminationCandidates are shortlisted for the subsequent stages based on their performance and normalized marks as prescribed in the notification. Shortlisting for Document Verification is based on normalized marks obtained in the 2nd Stage CBT.
