Responsibilities
- Every internship at Stripe revolves around an actual, valid project that our clients urgently require and touches on numerous areas of our stack and operations. We'll help you with shipment. Some recent projects include rebuilding our statistics aggregation service, building new service discovery systems, and many user facing projects like making it easy to understand error messages on Stripe Checkout. As a Stripe intern, you'll be tackling important projects to increase global commerce, while working alongside exceptional people who insist on doing their best work. - Create software with a significant influence on Stripe that will be utilized in production.

Education Qualifications
- obtaining a bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree in computer science, mathematics, or a similar field in order to gain a solid foundational grasp of computer science
Skills
- some programming knowledge and expertise gained from classwork or side projects. We mostly work with Go, Scala, JavaScript, Ruby, and Java. We think that if the foundations and general knowledge are in place, learning new programming languages is possible.
- Experience evaluating and accepting input from peers, mentors, and stakeholders from prior internships or other multi-person initiatives, including open source contributions
- The capacity to learn and comprehend new systems by conducting independent study and collaborating with subject matter experts and a mentor
