Responsibilities
- Assisting senior officers in the examination of forensic cases
- Aiding in the preparation of reports
- Visiting and documenting crime scenes through photography and videography
- Identifying, collecting, and preserving scientific evidence available at crime scenes (on a 24/7 shift basis)
- Performing any other tasks assigned by superiors
Qualifications
- Junior Scientific Assistant (Biology):
* **Essential:** A Master’s degree in one of the following disciplines from a recognized university: Zoology, Botany, Microbiology, Anthropology, Biology, Human Biology, Life Science, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Genetics, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, or Forensic Science with Zoology or Botany as a subject or paper studied in each of the three years of the Bachelor of Science program.
* **OR** A B.E./B.Tech. degree in Biotechnology from a recognized university. - Junior Scientific Assistant (Cyber Forensic):
* **Essential:** (a) A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Application, Information Technology, or Physics with a specialization in Electronics or Cyber Security from a recognized university/institute.
* **OR** **Essential:** A B.E./B.Tech. degree in Computer Science Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication Engineering, or Electricals & Electronics Engineering from a recognized university/institute. - Junior Scientific Assistant (Documents):
* **Essential:** A Master’s degree in Physics, Chemistry, or Forensic Science with Physics or Chemistry as a subject studied for at least two years/four semesters at the B.Sc. level, from a government-recognized university/institute. - Junior Scientific Assistant (Photo):
* **Essential:** A Master’s degree in Physics, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Information Technology, or Forensic Science; **OR** a B.Tech. in Artificial Intelligence from a recognized university. - Junior Scientific Assistant (Physics):
* **Essential:** A Master’s degree in Physics or Forensic Science with Physics as a subject at the B.Sc. level from a recognized university or equivalent. - Junior Scientific Assistant (HRD/QC):
