Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Senior Associate Software Engineer to join our team and contribute to the advancement and upkeep of our business applications, leveraging Spring Boot for backend development and React for the frontend user experience. As an integral member of a collaborative team, the successful candidate will be responsible for the complete software development lifecycle, encompassing design, development, testing, and deployment of robust software solutions that contribute directly to business objectives. A solid understanding of fundamental software development principles, combined with a proven capacity to rapidly acquire and adapt to emerging technologies and programming languages, is paramount for success in this position.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain comprehensive software applications utilizing Spring Boot for the creation of backend services and React for the development of intuitive frontend user interfaces.
• Maintain adherence to established coding standards and best practices, and actively participate in code reviews to ensure the delivery of high-quality, maintainable, and scalable code within both the Spring Boot and React environments.
• Collaborate effectively with senior engineers, product managers, and quality assurance specialists to define project requirements, design effective solutions, and deliver tangible results.
• Proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical challenges across both the backend and frontend systems, ensuring optimal performance and stability.
• Actively pursue opportunities to expand technical expertise and skillsets, including the acquisition of new technologies and programming languages pertinent to the team’s broader objectives. A significant aspect of this role involves achieving proficiency in complementary technologies to enhance the Spring Boot/React technology stack and support broader AT&T initiatives.
• Contribute to the creation and consistent updating of comprehensive technical documentation to ensure clarity and maintainability.
• Participate actively in Agile development methodologies, including sprint planning sessions, daily stand-up meetings, and retrospective analyses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field of study.
• Zero to three (0-3) years of professional experience in software development.
• Demonstrated proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages:
• Java
• Python
• JavaScript/TypeScript
• Go
• Thorough understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts, data structures, and algorithm design principles.
• Practical experience with Git and related version control systems for collaborative code management.
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix operating system environments.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to articulate technical concepts effectively.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team-oriented work environment.
