Job Description
NALCO is seeking dedicated, promising, and results-oriented young Graduate Engineers with strong academic records to join the company as Graduate Engineer Trainees (GETs). This recruitment drive aims to fill positions in Mechanical, Electrical, and Chemical engineering disciplines. The selection process will heavily rely on GATE-2025 scores, followed by a personal interview. Selected candidates will undergo a one-year on-the-job training program, after which they will be absorbed as Assistant Managers if they meet the company’s performance criteria. The role involves potential postings at any NALCO unit or subsidiary, in India or abroad, with the possibility of shift operations and transferability as per company needs.

Responsibilities
- Undergo one-year on-the-job training.

- Be transferable to any NALCO unit/office in India or abroad, or its subsidiaries/joint ventures/business associates.

Qualifications
- Full-time regular Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology.
- Minimum 65% marks in aggregate for UR/EWS/OBC(NCL) categories.
- Minimum 55% marks in aggregate for SC/ST/PwBD categories.
- Aggregate percentage calculated from the average of all semesters/years, irrespective of institutional weighting.
- Candidates in their final year of Engineering may apply if they pass with the requisite percentage before their personal interview.
- Qualification must be from a UGC recognized Indian University, UGC recognized Indian Deemed University, AICTE approved courses from Autonomous Indian Institutions, or equivalent.
- For disciplines other than specified, candidates are not eligible.
- Candidates must have appeared for GATE-2025 in the relevant paper (ME for Mechanical, EE for Electrical, CH for Chemical).
- Must have obtained qualifying marks as fixed by GATE-2025 conducting authority for the respective paper.
- Upper age limit of 30 years as on 22/01/2026, with relaxations applicable for reserved categories.
- Must have a valid GATE-2025 mark.

Candidates must possess a full-time regular Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology with at least 65% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwBD) and should have appeared and qualified in GATE-2025 in the relevant discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical). The upper age limit is 30 years as of January 22, 2026, with relaxations for reserved categories.
The selection will be based on a merit list compiled using 90% weightage for GATE-2025 marks and 10% weightage for performance in a personal interview. Candidates are shortlisted for the interview based on their GATE-2025 scores and academic eligibility.
During the one-year training period, GETs will receive a stipend with a basic pay of ₹40,000 per month. Upon successful completion of training and absorption, they will be placed as Assistant Managers (E1 grade) with a pay scale starting at Rs. 60,000/- per month. Additional benefits like Dearness Allowance, perquisites, accommodation, medical facilities, PRP, and superannuation benefits are also provided.
General, OBC, and EWS candidates need to pay Rs. 500/- as an application fee, while other candidates (including departmental) pay Rs. 100/- as a processing fee. Payment can be made through internet banking, UPI, or debit card via the SBI Collect portal, details of which are provided in the application process.
Yes, selected candidates will be required to sign a service agreement bond of Rs. 3,00,000/- (or Rs. 4,00,000/- for training abroad) to serve NALCO for a minimum period of 4 years after the completion of the one-year training.
