Job Description
The National Informatics Centre (NIC) is seeking applications from qualified candidates for the Scientist-B position, a Group-A S&T (Gazetted) post. Recruitment is on a direct basis. Candidates will be shortlisted for a Personal Interaction/Interview based on their valid Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) score from 2024, 2025, or 2026. The role requires candidates to possess specific educational qualifications in Computer Sciences & IT, Electronics and Communication, or Data Science and AI, aligned with the corresponding GATE paper codes. No prior experience is required. Selected candidates may be posted anywhere in India or abroad.
The selection process involves shortlisting based on GATE scores, followed by document verification and a Personal Interaction/Interview. The final selection will be determined by a weighted combination of the GATE score (60%) and the Personal Interaction/Interview marks (40%).
