GIS Mapping Associate – Non Voice – Job Description

Tech Mahindra is actively seeking a GIS Mapping Associate (Tier 1) for their Hyderabad operations. This full-time, permanent role involves building and maintaining high-quality maps while adhering to strict standards and timelines. As a Mapping Ops Associate, you will report to the PD Lead for Mapping Operations and collaborate with team members to enhance mapping projects, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in this critical function.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-quality geospatial maps, including data creation, curation, and quality assurance.
• Conduct thorough quality checks on peer-generated map data and work products.
• Meet established Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for request completion and quality benchmarks.
• Support the Pod Lead in managing daily operational workflows and optimizing team productivity.
• Participate in ongoing training sessions to enhance mapping skills and achieve professional progression.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of map data for various mapping projects.
• Analyze geospatial information to identify trends and ensure data consistency.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is mandatory, with a preference for degrees in Geography, Geospatial Science, Operations, or a related field.
• Freshers and candidates with up to 1 year of experience in mapping operations or geospatial data processing are encouraged to apply.
• Prior experience in the automotive (AV) sector is considered a significant advantage.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret and process geospatial data.
• Excellent communication skills are required for effective team collaboration.
• Familiarity with GIS principles and mapping software is beneficial.
