Job description

To improve our customer-facing trading applications and back-end systems, Interactive Brokers Software Service India (“IBSSI”) is seeking junior software engineers with a focus on Java and expertise working in Unix/Linux settings.

Interactive Brokers might be the perfect fit for you if you have strong programming experience, enjoy working in a dynamic team environment and enjoy the challenge of creating complex real-time solutions, and are skilled at developing front-end systems or corresponding back-end services for them. The design, development, and optimization of trading and back-office programs is a major focus of this position.

Joining a JSE team means joining a group of engineers who are driven, gifted, and enthusiastic about what they do. You will take full responsibility for the design, testing, deployment, and upkeep of software solutions.

What you will do

Investigate, design, and create technological solutions to expand and enhance IBKR’s back-end and client-facing applications.
Write server-side and client-side code for web apps, build dependable production applications with high throughput, and prototypes fast.
Cooperate closely with the engineering team situated in the US and other IBKR offices in Europe.
Work together to address scalability challenges related to large-scale data and information access.
Resolve every issue that arises.

Education Requirement

MCA/BE/Btech/Mtech/ME degree in Computer Science or related technical field from a reputed institution

Good to have skills

Programming knowledge of Java and Oracle/MySql
exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Sounds familiarity with relational databases, SQL, and other data storage technologies
proficiency in the English language

Desired Qualifications

MCA/ME in computer science, or a related field of expertise
knowledgeable in at least one programming language, such as Python, Unix Shell, Perl, or Awk.
Some knowledge of web technologies such as AJAX and PHP through programming.
a solid background in computer science with proficiency in data structures, algorithms, and software architecture; the capacity to function professionally and under pressure in time-sensitive scenarios; and
the capacity to fit in and perform successfully in a multinational team
being near technology and considering a job that is primarily focused on technology.
