Job Description

What you need to know about the role-

This crucial role directly supports PayPal's global regulatory compliance by contributing to the development and maintenance of our self-service Compliance Reporting platform. You will be a key player in designing, building, and implementing new features and capabilities, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and platforms. This position is vital for enabling PayPal to meet its stringent global regulatory reporting obligations efficiently and effectively. The successful candidate will be a hands-on contributor to a high-impact team.

Responsibilities

• As a hands-on individual contributor, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and delivering high-quality, modular, and extensible code for complex features and products. This will involve close collaboration with senior engineers throughout the software development lifecycle. Responsibilities include:
• * Designing, developing, and implementing new features and improvements to the Compliance Reporting platform.
• * Collaborating with Senior Engineers to design, develop, test, and deliver product features.
• * Conducting thorough troubleshooting and debugging to resolve any issues that arise.
• * Writing comprehensive unit and functional tests to ensure the highest quality deliverables.
• * Participating in code reviews and providing constructive feedback to peers.
• * Contributing to the improvement of our development processes and tools.

Education Qualification

Skills

• * Proven strong object-oriented programming skills and extensive hands-on coding experience in Core Java and J2EE technologies.
• * Significant experience with the Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring Data, etc.), RESTful Web Services, and Spring Batch.
• * Demonstrated solid understanding of algorithms and data structures.
• * Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills; ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• * A creative and innovative mindset; proactive in identifying and proposing solutions to complex problems.
• * Experience with Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) is a plus.
• * Experience with database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL) is a plus.
• * Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
