Responsibilities
- Assist in the implementation of the Official Language policy of Government of India.
- Translate official correspondence, scientific literature, documents, and records from English to Hindi and vice-versa.
- Assist in the preparation and submission of reports and returns.
- Perform any other duties assigned by higher authorities.
- Carry out various roles including office maintenance, hospitality services, horticulture, and transport.
- Maintain records, perform photocopying, upkeep the guest house and attend to guests.
- Maintain gardens and green spaces.
- Drive vehicles, manage vehicle maintenance, and maintain vehicle records.
Qualifications
- For Junior Hindi Translator: (1) Master’s degree in Hindi or English with English or Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as a medium of examination at the degree level; OR Master’s degree in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi or English medium and English or Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as a medium of examination at the degree level; OR Master’s degree in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi and English as compulsory or elective subjects of either as the medium of examination and the other as a compulsory or elective subject at degree level; AND (2) Recognized Diploma or Certificate course in translation from Hindi to English & vice versa OR two years’ experience of translation work from Hindi to English and vice-versa in Central or State government offices, including Government of India undertakings.
- For Multi-Tasking Staff: Matriculation (10th) or equivalent pass.
- Desirable Qualification for MTS: Intermediate (12th Class) Pass and experience in the relevant area of work.
