GIS Mapping Associate (Non-Voice) – Job Description
Tech Mahindra is actively seeking a GIS Mapping Associate (Tier 1) for a non-voice role in Hyderabad. This full-time permanent position focuses on building and maintaining high-quality maps while adhering to strict standards and timelines. Reporting to the PD Lead, the Mapping Ops Associate will collaborate with teams to enhance crucial mapping projects, making it an excellent opportunity for freshers and those with up to 1 year of experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain high-quality maps, including data creation, curation, and quality assurance.
- Conduct peer reviews to ensure the accuracy and integrity of mapping data.
- Meet established Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for response times and quality benchmarks.
- Support the Pod Lead in managing daily operational tasks and optimizing team workflow.
- Actively participate in ongoing training programs to foster professional development and career progression.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives and improve mapping processes.
- Analyze geospatial data to identify trends and ensure map accuracy.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of mapping tools and methodologies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree is mandatory, preferably in Geography, Geospatial Science, Operations, or a related discipline.
- Freshers are welcome; candidates with up to 1 year of experience in mapping operations or geospatial data processing are preferred.
- Experience in the autonomous vehicle (AV) space is considered a plus.
- Strong analytical skills for interpreting complex geospatial data.
- Excellent attention to detail for ensuring map accuracy and quality.
- Good communication skills for effective team collaboration.
- Familiarity with GIS principles and mapping software is advantageous.
