In the role of Junior Network Engineer (L1) within our Networking Managed Services division, your primary responsibility will be to maintain and enhance the operational stability of our clients' critical IT infrastructure and networked systems. You will be instrumental in proactively identifying, thoroughly investigating, and swiftly resolving technical incidents and problems, always striving to restore service to optimal levels while consistently meeting or exceeding established Service Level Agreements (SLAs). This entry-level position serves as a crucial first point of contact, providing first-line support for standard and low-complexity incidents and service requests. Beyond immediate support tasks, you'll have valuable opportunities to contribute to diverse project work, enhancing your skills and experience.

Responsibilities

Education Qualification

• - Possess a Bachelor's degree or an equivalent qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related Computing field (or demonstrate equivalent practical work experience in a relevant field).
• - Hold a valid CCNA certification or an equivalent industry-recognized networking certification.
• - Possess certifications that are relevant to the specific services provided by the team; certifications will carry significant weightage on a candidate’s overall qualification and suitability for the role.
• - Demonstrate entry-level experience with troubleshooting, diagnostics, and providing support in network, data center, systems, or storage administration and monitoring Services, preferably within a medium to large ICT organization.
• - Exhibit basic foundational knowledge of management agents, redundancy concepts, and products within the supported technical domain, encompassing areas such as Network, Data Centre, Telephony, Exchange, Storage, Cloud, and Backup technologies.

• - Demonstrate a strong ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds and social groups.
• - Possess solid planning and project management skills, including the ability to organize tasks, manage timelines, and track progress.

• - Demonstrate proficiency in additional skills that are beneficial to the role, such as: Pulse Secure SSL VPN / Virtual Juniper, Palo Alto, Fortinet Firewalls / Cisco Nexus switches, ASR and ISR routers / Cisco ACS, ISE / Meraki switches and access points / Enterprise network architecture / Common routing protocols: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP / Network address translation / Configuring, monitoring and troubleshooting uplinks to ISPs for DIA, MPLS and P2P circuits / Familiarity with common network management and monitoring tools such as SecureCRT, and Logic Monitor.
